1. Who we are

Mawdle3D (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a family-run 3-D printing business based in England. We design, print and ship custom items, models and accessories through our website and marketplace storefronts (e.g. Etsy, eBay). This policy explains how we collect, use, share and look after your personal data when you interact with us online or offline.


2. The data we collect & why

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you: checkout forms, emails, support chats, social-media DMs, Feedback.

  • Automatically: cookies, server logs, analytics tags.

  • Third-party marketplaces: details marketplaces provide when you place an order.

We never sell your data. We only let third parties use it for the job we hired them to do and they must keep it confidential.


5. Cookies & analytics

We use lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics (no personal profiling) plus essential cookies that keep the shopping cart working.

 

6. How long we keep it

  • Orders & invoices: 7 years (UK tax law).

  • Customer support emails: 2 years after last contact.

  • Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe (every email has a one-click opt-out).

  • Analytics logs: anonymised after 14 days.

After these periods we delete or anonymise the data.


7. Security

  • All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).

  • Back-office access protected by MFA.

  • Payment details handled by PCI-DSS-compliant providers only.

  • Regular patching and penetration-test scans.

No system is 100 % bullet-proof, but we treat security as non-negotiable and review controls at least annually.


8. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can:

  1. Access the data we hold on you.

  2. Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

  3. Erase data (“right to be forgotten”) when we no longer need it.

  4. Restrict or object to processing.

  5. Port data to another provider.

  6. Withdraw consent at any time for anything based on consent (e.g. marketing).

To exercise any right, email us at admin@mawdle3d.co.uk. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our reply, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).


9. International transfers

All primary servers sit in the UK or EEA. If a service provider stores data elsewhere, we use standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision to keep the transfer lawful.


10. Children

Our products are family-friendly, but our site is not aimed at kids under 13. We don’t knowingly collect children’s personal data without parental consent.


11. Third-party links

The site may link to YouTube clips, design repositories, etc. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices—check their policies before sharing data.


12. Changes to this policy

We’ll post any updates here. If the changes are significant we’ll email customers with an opt-out option.
